    • An "Air Bases" tool has been added to the World view. It displays all of your air bases and allows you to modify air units directly.
    • Mouse wheels will now scroll the map in both the world and zoomed views. (This is primarily useful for users with vertical and horizontal scrolling capabilities.)
    • Clicking to zoom in the World view now centers you on the exact sector clicked, which means clicking near the edge of the world's map will zoom accurately.
    • An icon to add or remove pins has been added to the sector row of the control panel.
    • The edge navigation arrows display when the map is scrolled near the edge rather than the very edge.
  • 1.1.5September 16, 2014

    • The edge navigation bars (visible in the zoomed view) now only appear when the map is scrolled to the edge.

    • Basic support for mobile devices has been added. The map can now be swiped and scrolled properly, allowing the game to now be playable via touch controls.
    • Attacks can be cloned by dragging with two fingers. (This operates the same way as holding down the "group clone attack" using a mouse and keyboard.)
  • 1.1.2September 5, 2014
    • Countries with no capitals, land bases, or land units will now be eliminated automatically. This currently happens once a day, when inactive countries are abandoned.

    • User Worlds are now available. Users can now create worlds up to 256x128 in size that other users can join, selecting from a variety of options (player limits, passwords, spawn/close/victory modes, etc.). Currently, only users who have had an account for at least a month can create worlds. Users cannot create more than three active worlds at a time.
    • The Daily Cycle has been replaced with the Game Cycle. Worlds can now run on variable Cycle schedules, including as often as every 10 minutes.

    • Worlds now end based on one of three Victory Modes.
      • In "Advantage," the victor owns 75% of occupied land sectors, once at least 50% of the land sectors are occupied.
      • In "Domination," the victor owns 100% of occupied land sectors, once the world is closed or 50% of the land sectors are occupied.
      • in "Hourglass," the victor owns the most land sectors at a specific end time.
    • The Join function has been updated to adjust distances based on world dimensions.
    • World videos will now render with a faster framerate. Final videos (posted when a world is completed) will include attacks lines.

    • A World Browser has been added to browse and filter through official and user worlds.

  • 1.0.15December 28, 2012

    • The URL for Global Triumph changed from gt.toomuchstupid.com to toomuchstupid.com/gt.
  • 1.0.14May 20, 2012
    • The "Largest Countries" box now has a rank and a link to view all countries (ordered by size and by growth).
  • 1.0.13October 1, 2011
    • Modifying a unit will now prevent you from splitting that unit until after the next Daily Cycle (just like merging into the unit).
  • 1.0.12May 1, 2011
    • The Sandbox world has been adjusted to allow accounts created within 60 days to join (instead of 30) and to expire countries after 90 days (instead of 60).

  • 1.0.10March 16, 2011

  • 1.0.7December 26, 2010

  • 1.0.6November 7, 2010
    • A bug prevented country funding purchases over $1 from properly adding the bonus ($2,000 for each day the world has been active) from being added correctly. It has been corrected and past purchases have had the extra income added. I apologize for the error!
  • 1.0.5November 1, 2010
    • The unit clone action and its keyboard shortcut can now be used in any sector that is within moving distance of a base. Instead of having to create a unit at the base and then select its location, you can hold the shortcut key and click to create units anywhere within the base's reach.
    • The unit sell action has been streamlined. One change to note is that it now sells the unit via the first base the script locates rather than determining the closest base. (Selling a unit can cause a base to be marked as "used," which nets a lower selling value. However, ensuring the nearest base is always used wasn't worth the delay in processing.)
  • 1.0.4October 19, 2010
    • The "Contribute" form will soon be changed to apply a credit to your account for every dollar donated. The credits will then be usable at any time in the future to purchase in-game upgrades (country funding being the only upgrade available at this time). So, for example, even if you're not currently playing in a world with country funding available, you'll be able to use the donation money to get funding in a future world, if you'd like.
    • When the form is modified, any donations already made before the change will be converted to credits.
  • 1.0.3October 6, 2010
    • $1 purchased in country funding is now set to add $200,000 to your country's income plus a $2,000 bonus for each day the world has been active. Any past purchases have been adjusted accordingly.
  • 1.0.2September 21, 2010
    • The pay structure for Global Triumph has been decided: users can decide what they'd like to pay. The game will remain free for all to play, with links to contribute if a player chooses to do so. Also, there will be occasional worlds where users can fund their countries (i.e. contributions with an in-game benefit).
  • 1.0.1September 18, 2010
    • The chat room now has an audio icon that can enable/disable sounds when another user enters, leaves, or enters text.
  • 1.0.0September 17, 2010
    • I've caught up on the bug list and all major components of the game have been more or less completed. So, I'm officially moving the game from Beta to v1.0!
  • 0.9.29September 12, 2010
    • Several bugs have been fixed:
      • The land unit move function allowed land units to be moved onto bridges at an angle. There must now be a horizontal or vertical path (as is the case with attacks).
      • The sea unit merge and split functions did not correctly handle carriers and frigates, resulting in "ghost" air bases. The functions have been fixed and the ghost bases have been corrected.
      • Vacating a sector made objects in adjacent water sectors disappear on the screen until it was reloaded. (To clarify, the actual objects were not affected in any way. They only appeared to disappear temporarily.)
  • 0.9.28May 10, 2010
    • In order to make the game a bit more fair to people who joined before the per day rate increased to $1,000, every active country has received $900 for each day between the day they joined and the day the world launched (i.e. the different between the old rate and the new rate).
  • 0.9.27May 10, 2010
    • Countries joining after a world has launched will now earn $12,000 plus $1,000 for each day the world has been open.
  • 0.9.26May 6, 2010
    • Country profiles have been added to the site. A "Country Profile" link appears in the main menu, allowing players to upload a flag and enter background information about their countries. The site will be updated to link to country profiles (newest players list, alliance pages, etc.) in the near future.
  • 0.9.25April 29, 2010
    • A unit "clone create" option has been added. Once a land or sea unit has been created, you can create another unit of the same type and strength by using the "clone create" option or shortcut key (if defined).
  • 0.9.24April 26, 2010
    • A checkbox has been added to the Account Settings page that allows users to not have their handle be listed as being in a chat room. (The list may be added to some GT pages soon, so this gives users a chance to opt-out.)
  • 0.9.23April 26, 2010
    • Alliance air attacks are now visible in the Zoom view. The symbols are displayed in black to differentiate them from your own attacks, which are displayed in white.
  • 0.9.22April 23, 2010
    • The chat room has been updated. It now allows you to join multiple rooms and has a tab bar to jump between them. (You can also use ctrl+tab to switch rooms in supported browsers.) Also, instead of starting you in the lobby, the chat room loads without placing you in any room.
  • 0.9.21April 21, 2010
    • A ruler has been added to the World view. Once you set a shortcut key for it on the Settings page, you can press the key in the world view to instantly drop the start point (no clicking is involved). Holding the key while moving the mouse will display the distance from the start to the current mouse position.
    • The Global Triumph home page has been modified. The game's menus are now located in the right menu bar. The map preview image can also be clicked to play (if you have a country in the world you're viewing) or explore (if you do not).
  • 0.9.20April 17, 2010
    • Pins are now visible and can be created, labeled, and deleted in the zoom view. (Alliance pins are not included at this time.)
    • The "Last Seen" date on the Country Info screen will now reflect the last time the user accessed that specific world. A user being active on the site or within a different world will no longer keep a country alive.
